Britain's first woman bishop
Does anyone care about this, other than some of the clergy?
Do we have any clergymen/women on WHO?
If so, why haven't their prayers been answered since 1986?

A welcome move by the C of E. Oddly though it seems to be women as much as men who have opposed this ordination. The C of E is moving with the times and if the Catholic church does not keep up it will lose relevance.

The idea that a Christian God would have no truck with a woman, a gay, a trans gender person or a divorcee seems bizarre these days to say the least.

Just shows the Church up for being hypocritical twonks.

Allowing gays in, allowing divorce, allowing sex before marriage, allowing adulterors, allowing all sorts of sinners and turning a blind eye just to keep numbers up and not wanting to offend people.

I'd actually have a bit more respect if it said, 'look, you might not believe the bible but we do so if you don't want to live up to it's standards fuck off'

Some souls require religion, just calling them backwards and washing ones hands of them doesn't help nor encourage a different attitude.

Merely by being inclusive of all, the dogmas we all hate in religion become redundant and it reverts to what it really is self control and regard for others.

Good it shows everyone how backward the other religions still are, we must give up competing over how much we can hate on women and that can only be done by actions such as this.

Nah. Used to be. But when our Pastor dyed his hair blonde and bought a Harley it got me thinking it might all be a crock of shit.
And then George Carlin finally convinced me.

I could say something here about how "christians" have abandoned their faith in droves, while Islam is going from strength to strength.
But, I won't.
